This Island

'This Island' refers to my mind. Happiness comes in many forms. Sometimes we don't even realize how happy we were until the moment is gone. Later, all that remains of it is the memories. That is why we often find pleasure in remembering things. It helps us recapture what was and takes us back to relive those moments. This blog recalls in poetic form, mostly free verse and rhymes, thoughts, experiences, moments and memories long lost that remain in some corner of the mind for their specialty.

Don't Think Twice

Walk, run, sprint
You owe yourself the best
Move away from the mess
Don't think twice.

There is more to life
Than a battered self
There is more to love
Than giving all the way.

Move on with cheer
Take the challenge without fear
Find the path that makes you whole
The price to pay is worth your soul.

Note: There are times in life when its best not to think twice.

this island
is only mine
this demesne
is totally divine
it harbors treasure
of many a kind
it encloses pleasure
that can not be defined....

it holds leisure
and it has bind
it sees no measure
endures every grind
happiness and woe
both accommodate themselves
stupidity and wisdom
create separate cells....

love and hate
live like buddies
calm and worry
do their studies
prayers and curses
show up in time
the land is active
and ever in it's prime....

this island
is only mine
this land
is totally divine
this island
is my mind
it is god's gift to me
the loveliest of it's kind....
