Wish

A birthday wish
Is easy to dish

With so many things
That see the flings

On and on we go
Dancing on a stiletto

Asking for this
And that and more

Words are but words
Emotions are crusts

Forgetting the best
Happens to pests

But even though
I seem to be slow

There are things I know
That would make you glow

Some penned and some left alone
Don't pant or groan

I wish for you not the moon
But a man who will make you swoon

And then take you in his arms
Show you the world of charms

Love you like none ever did
Happiness will be your kid

At eighteen, you are just so clean
I hope forever you retain that gleam.

Note: Thoughts penned for a birthday girl.
