'This Island' refers to my mind. Happiness comes in many forms. Sometimes we don't even realize how happy we were until the moment is gone. Later, all that remains of it is the memories. That is why we often find pleasure in remembering things. It helps us recapture what was and takes us back to relive those moments. This blog recalls in poetic form, mostly free verse and rhymes, thoughts, experiences, moments and memories long lost that remain in some corner of the mind for their specialty.

DOES THE BETTER MAN ALWAYS WIN
He loved her but he gave her up
For his best friend better filled the cup
Life was good for his friend and the queen
The question is, does the better man always win..??
The rich often win because the poor is not rich....
